The most expensive sports cars in the world are exotic, fast and (obviously) expensive but with this kind of speed and sexiness what is money anyway?

The top 10 most expensive sports cars for 2011 include the Bugatti Veyron, Pagani Zonda, Koenigsegg Agera R, Ferrai Enzo and more.

Use our FREE quote tool to compare insurance rates now!

Check out the list of the most expensive sports cars in the world today and keep buying lottery tickets!

Top 10 Most Expensive Sports Cars in the World

These are not the practical cars your parents would buy you, or you would buy for your kids. These are for you. These cars are eye candy. The pedals are feet candy.

The steering wheel is hand candy. If these cars really were candy, they’d be the kind that’s too pretty to eat. These are 10 sports cars you dream about at night.

Bugatti Veyron Super Sport

This aerodynamic vehicle boasts the fastest acceleration speed of any car in the world. That’s 0-60 in 2.5 seconds. (2.5 seconds is about how long it takes you to say “I love my Bugatti Veyron Super Sport.”) This baby tops out at 267 miles per hour. Your 45 minute commute just got a lot shorter, so you can enjoy sleeping in.

FYI, you pay about a million dollars for every second it takes you to reach 60 mph–the price tag for the Super Sport is $2.4 million.

The Bugatti Veyron Super Sport is the fastest street-legal automobile on Earth, and you know you want it. You’d better tap into that retirement account…

Pagani Zonda Cinque Roadster

If you can sacrifice 50 miles per hour of top speed, you can save nearly a million dollars by getting this car instead of the Super Sport. This roadster comes in at 1.85 million big ones.

217 miles per hour isn’t really too slow, is it? It’ll take you 3.4 seconds to reach highway speeds of 60 miles an hour in your Pagani, which makes merging from the on-ramp less of a breeze and more of a tornado.

Lamborghini Reventon

Yes, Lamborghinis are those cars with the vertically opening door. This one happens to be the priciest Lamborghini in history. There are 20 of them, so chances are you couldn’t get one even if you had the cash. But if you did…

You’d shell out $1.6 million for this sleek, eye-catching sports car but you will get up to 60 miles per hour from a dead stop in 3.3 seconds, leaving those station wagons in your dust.

And if you got out on a long stretch of open road, in the absence of any speed limits or cops, you could race at 211 miles per hour in this beauty of a machine.

Think about that while you track down where the 20 Lamborghini Reventons in the world are hiding.

Koenigsegg Agera R

This will cost you the same as the Lamborghini Reventon, but you’ll get to 60 miles per hour in just 2.8 seconds. That’s a half second improvement, and that makes a big difference overall.

You’d also leave that Lamborghini far behind even after the initial lead, because you get to hit speeds of 260 miles an hour in the Agera R. Plus, there’s more than 20 of these in the world! If you still need something a little more reasonably priced, we’re about to drop below the million dollar mark.

McLaren F1

At just $970,000, the Bugatti Veyron Super Sport makes this car look plenty affordable, doesn’t it? It’s less than half the price. You’ll go from parking spot to wind in your hair in 3.2 seconds (0-60 mph).

You can go up to 240 miles per hour in this miracle machine, and you get the added bonus of the vertically opening doors here, too, for quite a bit less than that Reventon. Just saying.

Ferrari Enzo

There are only 400 of these in the world. It’s no just-20-made-ever promotion, but it does increase your chances of being able to purchase one. The price, at just $670,000, also increases the likelihood of affordability here.

This Ferrari (and who hasn’t wanted a Ferrari at some point, really?) will get you from zero to sixty in 3.4 seconds, and have you cruising comfortably at 217 miles per hour if you should ever find yourself in a situation where you’d be capable of such speeds.

Pagani Zonda C12 F

The second Pagani Zonda on the list comes in at just $667,321–who are they trying to impress with that extra dollar? It’s over 1 million bucks cheaper than its other Zonda cousin.

You only lose 2 miles per hour of top speed by choosing the Zonda C12 F over the Cinque Roadster.

It’ll also only take you a tenth of a second longer to reach 60 miles per hour from zero. You can wait .1 seconds, right?

SCC Ultimate Aero

This name just screams aerodynamic, doesn’t it? It will also fly aerodynamically off the lots, at up to 257 miles per hour, because only 25 of them have been built worldwide.

It takes just 2.7 seconds to get the Aero to 60 miles per hour after a stop light. At $654,400, and given the top speed and acceleration capabilities, the Aero is a steal compared to some of the other cars on our list.

Ascari A10

Only 50 Ascari A10s will be made in 2011, so you’d better lay claim on one now. It’ll set you back $650,000, but you get 215 miles per hour of speed-limit-defying power, and you can go from stopped to 60 in 2.8 seconds.

Pretty good, right? Hold on to your hat and your wallet, though. You can save nearly $100,000 and be the only one of your friends with a supercar!

Saleen S7 Twin Turbo

This is the first American production certified supercar on the market. Do you know anyone with 750 horses? Tell them they could save a lot of farm space if they just invested in a 750 horsepower Saleen.$555,000 is how much you’ll shell out for this speedy sporty supercar!

3.2 seconds is how long it will take you to screech from 0 to 60 but with a top speed of  248 miles per hour this is what makes the Saleen S7 Twin Turbo the 4th fastest car known to humanity.
