  • Overall Customer Satisfaction – How policyholders are satisfied overall with the insurer
  • Contacting the Insurer – A score comprise of how policyholders rate their customer service experience dealing with a particular company whether its online, by phone or in-person
  • Policy Offerings – how policyholders score the range of auto insurance products offered and how they match their needs
  • Billing and Payment – How customers score the car insurance company’s billing and payment system including invoicing and payment options.
  • Pricing – A measure of how policyholders score car insurance companies based on the car of insurance vs. the amount of coverage provided

Do these car insurance rankings always tell who the best car insurance company is?

No. They do however provide valuable insight into customer service and policy options for many car insurance companies nationwide. While many of these providers do have significant market shares the real judgment of whom the best company is for your profile really depends on all your needs.

Companies like Esurance sell coverage only on-line while collector car owners may opt for the Hagerty Insurance Company for specialized coverage.

High-risk drivers may very well find companies like the General Auto Insurance much more open to providing fair coverage at affordable prices.

The results of any study published should only be used as one factor in your overall decision of choosing a provider and not the sole reason.
